Law student and political writer Hosney Abdelaty participates in an international event on the G7 Summit and the future of multilateralism in an age of uncertainty.
Amid growing international interest in the future of the global order and current geopolitical and economic shifts, law student and political writer Hosney Abdelaty has received an official invitation from the International Political Foundation to participate in a high-level intellectual and political event titled “The G7 Summit in France: Multilateralism in an Age of Uncertainty,” bringing together a select group of international academics, experts, and political analysts.
Hosney Abdelaty confirmed that he has accepted the invitation to participate in this important event, welcoming it and emphasizing the importance of international dialogue in light of the rapidly evolving political, economic, and security challenges facing the world.
The event coincides with the G7 Summit, taking place from June 15 to 17, where international trade, security, energy, tariffs, and regional conflicts will be at the top of the agenda. This comes against a backdrop of unprecedented global uncertainty, manifested by escalating tensions in the Middle East, the ongoing war in Ukraine, and significant shifts in transatlantic relations, along with growing pressure on the international economic and political order.
The event will address a number of crucial issues, particularly Europe’s potential role in managing international crises, the future of relations between Europe and the United States, and the G7’s ability to remain an effective platform for coordination among the major industrialized democracies in a world undergoing profound strategic transformation.
The meeting will be opened by Simonetta Giordani, Secretary General of the Civita Association, with the participation of several prominent academic and media figures, including Professor Gianluca Ansaloni, Professor of Political Geography at the Campus Pio-Medico University of Rome; Professor Lucia Tagli, Professor of Political Economy at the Polytechnic University of Milan; journalist and international political analyst Cecilia Tosi; and Matteo Villa, Senior Fellow at the International Institute of Political Studies.
The session will be moderated by Italian journalist Mario De Pezzo, Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Europe Center.
The meeting will be held in person at Piazza Venezia 11 in Rome on Thursday, June 18, at 6:00 PM, and will be followed by a reception for participants and guests.
The presence of political writer Hosney Abdelatay at this international event reflects his intellectual and media prestige, his role in monitoring and analyzing regional and international issues, and his contribution to the debate on the future of international relations and the challenges facing the global order in the current era.
