My Impressions of the Exhibition “La Mode en Majesté” in Paris

Beautiful Dress at the Exhibition “La Mode en Majesté (Fashion in Majesty)” in Paris

This year, in 2026, I had the chance to visit one of my favourite exhibitions of the year, “La Mode en Majesté (Fashion in Majesty)”, at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, France.

This exhibition offers a unique exploration of the evolution of clothing at the Thai court, featuring a variety of beautiful pieces from the Royal Collection. I saw in the news that Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari of Thailand also attended the opening ceremony herself. This made me even more enthusiastic about coming to Paris to see these beautiful garments, which reflect and transmit Thailand’s rich cultural heritage, particularly through the various initiatives of Queen Sirikit of Thailand.

The exhibition was organised in collaboration with various Thai organisations, including the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles and the Sustainable Arts and Crafts Institute of Thailand (SACIT). It also highlights the strong cultural ties and longstanding friendship between France and Thailand, contributing to the promotion of closer relations between the two countries.

If you are in Paris (or in Europe), I highly recommend visiting this exhibition!

It is on display only from 13 May to 1 November 2026 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, France.
